We’re super pleased to reveal AIB has invested in Smart Socks®️company Milbotix.

“I’m delighted Angel Investors Bristol has invested in Milbotix. We have a long association with AIB through its predecessor, Bristol Private Equity Club, and the Tech South West’s StartUp and ScaleUp Studio programmes, which we participated in during 2022,” said founder Zeke Steer.

Bristol is a hotbed for innovation with a supportive tech ecosystem spearheaded by University of Bristol and University of the West of England. Now, with AIB actively investing into companies in the South West, there is nothing stopping start-ups and spin-outs in the region from achieving their full potential.

It’s a particularly exciting time for Milbotix as we launch SmartSocks®DISCOVERY. AIB’s investment will fund the manufacturing of DISCOVERY. It also takes us to the half-way point with our investment round, with £250k now raised towards our £500k target.”

Our investment in Milbotix is the second in 2025 and fifth overall since our launch in Autumn 2023, following Astral Systems, Intelligent AI Limited and Distil.ai in 2024 and Anya in January. We have a strong pipeline of investments in various stages and will be revealing more in due course!
